On and (mostly) off, I have used this blog to post recipes I created, here in California... Now after 28 years, I'm moving back to France to be with family and start a new chapter (more like a whole new book!).
28 years... Can you believe it? It went really fast but it's been a full and unforgettable experience. More than half my life happened in the United States and if you would have told me when I started that it would include making amazing relationships, a fun and rewarding cooking career, visiting all 50 states, attending 6 Burning Man and many other festivals, I would have said that you were nuts! Ou plutôt, complètement fou...
America has given me so much and I am forever grateful for all that came along for the ride. Now, it's time to go. It is sad and scary at times but my heart is full and will never forget. I've learned so many skills and tricks to take with me on my next journey and I have so many supporting me through it. Here and there.
And so it is beginning... I leave in two months. They'll go very fast too. And they will be filled with lots of food, love, laughs, work, spreadsheets, tears, hugs and more. I want to see you all before I go and I hope I do. It gets crazy at times and I'm trying to learn this new skill of balancing everything all at once!
But I'm leaving, on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again... oh wait, that's what I was singing the first time around... and here it goes again! This time I'm going to write here as much as I can so you can see where this new adventure takes me. If all goes as planned, I am going to Mexico, Cuba, Peru and Argentina before going back to France. I won't be cooking much but I'm sure I'll encounter some new (to me) and exciting foods and I'd like to share them with you. Or just journal my travels and see what happens... What do you think?
Blog at you soon...
Lots of love,
Caroline
